We have truly embraced the soup season this half term in our Food Tech lessons!
The students in KS4 and 6th Form have been preparing delicious vegetable soup for two, while learning about the value of using nutritious seasonal vegetables. We’ve experimented with using different stocks (chicken and vegetable) and adding parsnips, to see how these effect the taste, and interchanging between pumpkin and butternut squash.
Once again, I have been so impressed with the students and their enthusiasm to try different ingredients and then taste the soup, even if they think they aren’t going to like it (most of them do like it).
This soup recipe, and more of the recipes we use in our Food Tech and Hospitality lessons, will be included in our recipe book that you can pre-order.
If you have not received a copy of the recipe book order form, please don’t hesitate to contact me by email email@example.com and I will send you a form.
Have a good weekend.
