A message from our Head teacher

Dear Families,

I hope you enjoyed our Christmas Service this week. We know that so many of you were able to watch along with us over the 2 performances. It just shows a glimpse of what our young people have been learning about over the last term and how they identify with the need to help each other and stay strong. I personally cannot wait until we can welcome you back into school to celebrate the achievements of our students. I sincerely hope that 2021 will bring us lots of opportunities to return to something like normal.

I also wanted to celebrate the innovative gifts the students have made through their enterprise work for the virtual Christmas Fayre. My family are receiving a wide range of produce from school this year so I can show off how skilled and talented our guys are. I hope you enjoy the same moments of pride.

At the time of writing this article we have managed a term without any cases of Covid 19 in school. I am sure that is due to the joint working of our families and school staff all working as hard as possible to safeguard our children. I have no doubt that should we have a case, our systems and procedures would manage the situation well to safeguard all. Your children’s safety has been our main priority this term alongside their learning and well-being. The students themselves have been astoundingly resilient bearing in mind the circumstances. They are a credit to you.

Finally, I hope you have as good a Christmas as you possibly can and that we move into 2021 with hope of a better tomorrow.

Best wishes

Sue Holman, Headteacher
