In Skills for Learning on a Friday, 9A have been making a yummy version of Eton Mess. The first week we used lots of different berries, then last week we went for more tropical fruit – mango, passion fruit, pomegranate, cantaloupe and physalis.
Making Eton Mess is a real team effort; the Sixth Form Hospitality students make the mini meringues in the morning during their Options lesson, which means the meringues are ready for 9A. Don’t they look amazing?
Then, when 9A join us in the afternoon, they have the fun of experiencing the beautiful fresh fruit, bashing their meringues and layering with Greek yoghurt, before enjoying their sweet end of week treat.
