11A visited Carisbrooke Castle this week to see the pennant flags designed by some of our students, these will be on display until the summer holidays and then throughout the jousting in August.
We found out a lot about historical influences on the island and the defensive importance of its location. Students were able to read original letters written by King Charles I and Princess Beatrice, this really brought alive the research that they have been doing as part of our English and ICT studies.
The students represented the school wonderfully, with a member of staff from Carisbrooke Castle remarking on their kindness, patience and curiosity throughout the visit – well done 11A!
