Before the pandemic, one of the highlights of the year was having our Celebratory Afternoon Teas, when parents and friends were invited and able to come into the school to enjoy the food and hospitality of the students.
On Tuesday afternoon, it was so lovely and an absolute please to have our first afternoon tea for over a year, unfortunately we weren’t able to invite outside guests but it was great to be able to invite staff from across the school to celebrate the end of the year at St George’s.
In the weeks leading up to the afternoon tea, the students had made a selection of sweet and savoury scones, chocolate and courgette cupcakes, and carrot cupcakes. On the day, they prepared a variety of sandwich fillings including brie, bacon and cranberry, egg and cress, cheese, and cucumber.
Well done to the students and staff of Wendy’s 10/11a class for all the beautiful decorations, delicious cooking and charming hospitality.
