Last week, 10/11A made a trip to Nettlecombe Farm. We spent the whole day there. At first, some students were a little nervous about meeting the animals but by lunchtime, the whole class were participating in hand feeding. Animals we met included hens, sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, reindeer, peacocks and an emu! Behaviour was outstanding, with good manners, enthusiasm and respect for the animals and their environment shown throughout the day. One of our return minibuses failed to start – but pupils coped brilliantly with this unexpected event and everyone arrived back at school by home time. Well done 10/11A, you are a credit to St Georges.
Special thanks go to:
- The 10/11 staff team for their fantastic support of students
- Our co driver Marie
- Debbie for organising
- Mairi for overseeing transport arrangements
- Jo in the office, Bob and Eloise for launching and operating the rescue mission!
