This week we had our Leadership Learning Partner from Hampshire come and visit school to check all is well and that the students are receiving a high quality education. They:
∙ Observed lessons all around the school ∙ Spoke to the students and asked for their views ∙ Looked at work evidence
∙ Spoke to a group of staff from around the school for their views
∙ Spoke to senior managers and leaders about their key areas of responsibility
∙ Spoke to Steff Gleeson, our Safeguarding Lead about safeguarding and attendance
∙ Spoke to me about outcomes and general school accountability
∙ Reported back to senior leaders and governors
As you can see it was a very busy day and essentially ran like an Ofsted inspection. This happens twice a year now to make sure things are going well in a school.
Feedback was very positive and our LLP went away reassured that everything is as it should be at St. George’s. I was immensely pleased that our staff and students got the chance to show their hard work to our visitor and have been praised as a result. Your children are an absolute credit to you. A massive thank you to each and every staff member in the school. No matter what job you do, you are the school’s greatest resource and our young people could not do as well without your hard work and dedication.
Have a good weekend.
