Sixth Form Art Option Students for Public Transport Poster Design Competition

Students who attend the Friday Art Option had the opportunity to design a poster to go inside the islands buses and trains. The competition was designed to help make everyone’s journey on public transport more peaceful and enjoyable. There were two categories to remind the general public

1.Behave well on public transport and 2.Stay smart on the roadside.

We wanted to share with you the fantastic designs that were submitted to the completion. Connor L created two designs the first one titled ‘Playing music quietly’ and the second ‘Put your litter in the bin’. Jonathan T created one design with the title ‘Take your rubbish off the bus!’.

Unfortunately, the entries were not selected to be one of the winning designs. However, we received this message from Lewis Campbell, Road Safety Officer for Highways and Transportation, Isle of Wight Council “Thank you for the submitted public transport artwork competition entries from St Georges.

On this occasion, I’m afraid that the entries were not selected as one of the winners.
The judging panel commended the hard work and effort that went into all of the designs and were impressed with the different interpretations of the competition themes.”.
