Hello from St George’s Governors.

We are so pleased, how the year 7’s have settled into St George’s, and how quickly all students settled back after the summer break.
We have been busy since our Ofsted inspection (which we are all very proud of). We have enjoyed visiting school and seeing what the wonderful students have been learning in class, and what they enjoy most about St George’s. We have also been meeting with leaders and staff to find out about different areas within school, such as Safeguarding, Maths and Literacy.
During December, we were lucky enough to watch the Christmas show, performed by Sixth Form students. The students along with Zoe impressed us with their hard work and we cannot wait to see the next one.
After the last couple of years, finally, we were able to hold the Christmas service in the church. It was a pleasure to see so many families and members of the surrounding community. The students had been learning about ‘New Beginnings’. The confidence and talents of our young people really shone through. We particularly enjoyed the interactive parts!
The Sporting Bears were back this year, and it was wonderful to see so many students and families enjoying rides in the supercars, despite the cold weather.
We continue to work closely with students and staff and are looking forward to spending time in school over the spring term.
