Art Exhibition 

We were excited to be offered the opportunity to exhibit our students’ work at the Independent Arts shop in Newport town centre until Friday 27th June. We hope to be able to use their space to put on more exhibitions in the future.  

There are two displays, one made up of KS4 students’ work in the style of the artist Romero Britto. The other is made up of VI Formers’ work from their project to create Isle of Wight themed decorative pieces. We hope that these pieces will find a permanent home in the local council offices.  

The displays are really striking and were getting plenty of attention from the public even while we were putting them up! Well done to all the students involved.  

These pieces were created by students in our KS4 classes. They have been studying the artist Romero Britto and were   asked to create their own art in his style with vibrant colours, bold patterns and a general Pop Art ‘vibe’.  
These pieces were created by students in our VI Form. They were tasked with creating a decorative scheme with an Isle of Wight theme and decided to do their own interpretations of famous Isle of Wight landmarks, including Bembridge Windmill, Appley Tower, St Catherine’s Lighthouse and Newport’s Domino’s restaurant!
