We have noticed a slight dip in attendance lately, across both sites. We fully appreciate that there have been a lot of illnesses around but just wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of good attendance for your young person’s progress. We view 90% and above as being good attendance.
Letters will be coming home shortly for students whose attendance we have particular concerns over and also to congratulate those with 100% or significantly improved attendance.
If your young person is going to be absent from school, please call the school office by 9:00am if possible to let us know the reason why. Alternatively, email office@stgeorges.iow.sch.uk.
For planned appointments, if you have a letter, email or text you can show, it would be much appreciated. We realise that some appointments are made over the phone so please just inform us as soon as possible.
