It has been another busy two weeks in the life here at St George’s and it is hard to believe we are already over halfway through the half term.
Students have settled back into school really well and are developing friendships and getting to know the adults who are working with them, both on our main St George’s site and St George’s studio.
Enrichment sessions on a Friday afternoon are enabling students to get to know others from across the school and some of our Sixth Formers have also been spending lunchtimes playing chess with the new year 7 students.
Students at the studio site have also been settling in well and participating in a wider range of activities. We have also just ordered some bikes for the studio site, which the students are looking forward to trying.
Our Emotions Mobile art project, which was put together using work produced by KS3 and KS4 students last year and has been on display at the Quay Arts and Brightstone Church will be returning to school on Monday, which is very exciting. We are very proud of it and are looking at where will be best to display it around school.

Message from Steff Gleeson
I just thought I would let you all know that following surgery on my hand, recovery is going well, slow but positive.
I have been into school a few times over the last week and have really enjoyed catching up with some students, families and staff. I really miss being at school. However, I am working from home and joining meetings remotely when possible. I am also in very regular contact with the team at St George’s.
It is lovely to see how well students have settled back in and the Year 7’s seem very happy here.
I am very much looking forward to returning to school as soon as I can.
