As a school, we value the positive impact that dogs can have on the wellbeing of students and staff. The school dogs support students who are, at times, dysregulated or anxious and have a calming influence. Staff at school are very mindful of students who are fearful of dogs and ensure that space is given to those young people.
Whilst we welcome dogs meeting young people from school, can I politely ask that if you bring your dog to the school can you please move away from the main entrance and, if possible, away from the pavement, on to the grassy areas. This will ensure all students feel safe arriving or leaving the school grounds and will avoid potential accidents or worries for students who are fearful.
Thank you in advance for your understanding with this.
Thank you
Steff
