Dear Students, Families, Staff and Governors,
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome, Naomi Carter (School Improvement Manager, Hampshire) and her colleague Frances to St George’s School this week. They were extremely impressed with our school and students from 7A who invited them for a cream tea. It was lovely to be able to speak to parents/carers and find out if the provision offered at St George’s is supporting their young people. The students were so independent; not only in setting up the table, preparing the food, serving the guests but also in the way they communicated. I felt incredibly proud of our staff and young people.
We were fortunate enough to observe an excellent science lesson, with positive engagement across the school including all of our PMLD/Sunburst groups. Our students get an excellent range of opportunities within the curriculum.
Students have had the opportunity this week to engage in a ‘Well-Being Day’ with a range of activities on offer. It was wonderful to see the teamwork and problem solving that has become embedded into our students. Thank you to all involved.
We have said goodbye to Cloe this week as she moves onto the next chapter of her education. We shall miss her bubbly personality and especially her smile. The staff at St George’s feel very privileged to have been part of her journey over the last 5 years. Good luck for the future Cloe.
