‘Young Minds’ is the leading charity in the fight for a future where all children and young people are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. They are there to make sure they get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Across the UK, three children in every classroom have a mental health problem. ‘Young minds’ are there to put them at the heart of tackling the problem.

Here at St George’s, we take mental health very seriously and so, we are supporting the charity to help raise funds and awareness for World Mental Health Day by asking your youngster to come to school wearing something yellow on Wednesday the 9 th of October. This could be a pair of yellow socks, a yellow t-shirt or a yellow bow in their hair. Hoodies are not allowed, as per the school rules. We are asking for a contribution to the charity of £1.
