On Wednesday 29th March, we were lucky enough to take eight Sports Leaders over to West Wight Community Centre to run an Inclusive Sport afternoon for Primary School students. We were fortunate enough that nine Primary Schools attended the afternoon, totalling 74 learners from across the island, a massive achievement for all leaders involved.
Nikita, Charlie B and Macy R, our Level 2 students, planned the event, they worked hard for several weeks planning and preparing the information for the event to run smoothly, allocating the Level 1’s activities to lead as well as themselves, identifying equipment needed and risk assessing the hall amongst other things. The Level 1 students worked hard on preparing their activities and becoming confident and competent in what they had to lead.
The event was a huge success and one that we hope to be able to repeat in the future.
