Students in KS4 have been looking at reading labels and understanding the different ways household packaging can or can’t be recyclyed and how we can reduce our household waste.
We learnt that some of the symbols used on packing may lead us to believe that the packaging can be recyclyed, but actually can’t, that some household items come in different parts that need to be separated to be recycled, and that large supermarkets can also take some recycling. On the whole though, sadly there is still so much packing that can’t be recycled, which led us to discuss ways we can reduce our waste.
As always with our fantastic students, they came up with great ideas with ways to reduce waste and increase our recycling efforts.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the two week break.
